Fall Wardrobe Must-Have: Embroidery

Fall is one of my favourite seasons to experiment with my wardrobe and try something a little different. It’s so easy for me to resort to layered basics and black on black as soon as the temperature drops (can I get an amen?!), but this year, I’m finding ways to incorporate pops of colour where I can.

Right now, I am loving embroidered pieces. There is something so special about these colourful embellishments. The time, care and handiwork that goes into the design and production of embroidered pieces is often overlooked. It’s so much fun wearing a piece of art and making it your own!

I am a lover of all things feminine, and this ruffled-sleeve babydoll top from Shein is about as feminine as it gets. Embroidery is HUGE this fall, and it can take what would otherwise be a basic in your wardrobe to a piece that’s totally one-of-a-kind.

Not only is this top lightweight and true-to-size, the embroidered details give the cotton blend added texture — almost like an accessory on its own.

I paired this look with a pair of distressed jeans from Zara and vegan leather booties from Urban Outfitters.

With embroidery on tops, pants, bags, sweaters and jackets everywhere this fall, how do you plan on rocking the trend?
